Perlane-L

Overview

Perlane-L is a type of dermal filler that is derived from Streptococcus bacteria which is biotechnologically managed intended for beauty enhancement. The solution differs from other filler as it comprises of larger particles, and meant for mid-to-deeper injection which is not approved for lip augmentation. The Food and Drug Administration cleared the Perlane-L and should be administered by licensed medical advocate.

Clinical studies showed that Perlane-L is useful for the removal of moderate to severe deep wrinkles especially the nasolabial folds compared to other dermal filler available in the market. According to studies, almost 92 % of individuals who have had the treatment reported that there is a drastic improvement within three months, and up to 71% still observed improvements after six months.

How it Works

The hyaluronic acid is a natural substance that is generated by the streptococcus bacteria. Normally, our body should be free of bacteria, but since we are in constant contact with the environment, some areas of the body have this so called normal flora. When you say normal flora, they are the bacteria resides in our skin and other mucous membranes. These bacteria somehow provide essential by-products that are needed by the body. In the world of bacteria, they can quickly multiply in a moist or wet environment. In the case of streptococcus, its byproducts make the bacteria alive by producing hyaluronic acid that absorbs water. In return, our skin benefits from it by getting enough water and maintains its moisture. Our body has its way to keep a certain number of this normal flora in a way that they will not cause any harm to the body.
